YES!!! This is an excellent article! I take 3mg. of Boron daily, as well as Tumeric, etc. I bought a box of Borax to have on hand as well. GREAT INFORMATION! Thank you Doctor!

Gbro's avatar

Do you take capsules?

Renee Marie's avatar

I take a Trace Mineral capsule, which has 3mg. of Boron.

Robert Yoho, MD's avatar

larger doses are likely better for you; see the video at the start

Michael Edwards's avatar

Yes Robert!!! I take 1/4 teaspoon of borax at the least a day a year now with zero side effects! My wife 1/8th at least and no side effects! It did immensely improve her menopause symptoms and our sex lives, she is 56 and me 58!!! I even put a pinch a day on my dog’s food and cured his extreme Candida (yeast) outbreaks!!! It is a miracle mineral but people are scared to take the borax or take to low a dose!!! You need at least 50 mg a day in my book to see any results!!!

Robert Yoho, MD's avatar

I thought it was every day ha

Pannacur's avatar

Do you happen to know the dosage for dogs, 20kg, my dogs has severe arthritis you can see it on the x-rays. She is on turmeric+black pepper, greenlipmusschel, collagen type 1-3, 1 scoop 2x a day, devils claw and msm,. i wanted to add yucca shidera? as well.

👍😉

I hope you are going to write another book on supplements so I can add it to my Yoho library.

Robert Yoho, MD's avatar

It's in the works but Judas Dentistry keeps getting revised

c Anderson's avatar

That is awesome news. Thank you for sharing your years of experience and wisdom.

Like Plimpton, you have so many interests. As with the Sirens of Ulysses singing your song you have no capability to fight against it.

You may as well wait for the fluoride case to close! Im pretty excited about the possibility of change there. Thank you for your informative and entertaining work!

Glad you know about Earth Clinic, it's such a treasure trove of information. We've been boron imbibers for about a year now. It has helped with my spouse's arthritic pain in his knee. Boron and Lugol's iodine are the only things I do for my health (other than eat carnivore).

JustANobody's avatar

EarthClinic.Comis awesome!!

Fed up's avatar

Great post, thanks. I laughed about your 20 Mule Team freak out. (I always salt my watermelon too.) 😀 I tried it years ago - bought caps and the big box but maybe my dose was too low. Made some laundry soap too. Another maligned wonder is DMSO. If they ban it or use it for livestock, it’s probably great. We find MSM is also quite effective for arthritis symptoms. Best.

Unapologetically Me's avatar

DMSO is the bomb. Had to leave my supply in Canada when I left.

Any idea where I can find some in So Cal? (I know where to get it, albeit under the counter, in Las Vegas.)

Many thanks in advance.

Edit: The last time I purchased it, 8 oz was $8.00.

Found it @ Walmart just now for $22.00 US! Wowza.

At least it's available though.

Robert Yoho, MD's avatar

feed stores have it by the gallon for horses

Robert Yoho, MD's avatar

I'm writing about this soon.

May I ask what the reason was for having to leave your DMSO supply in Canada when you left? I live in Canada... (I use and introduce others to DMSO on a regular basis). At some point I will be returning Stateside permanently and was wondering if there is an issue in crossing the border with DMSO. Thanks

Robert Yoho, MD's avatar

available in the US. check Apocalypse Almanac for links

Unapologetically Me's avatar

Over 3 oz of liquid: Unable to pack in my limited carry on.

No other issue re: DMSO liquid.

Val's avatar

Thank you for your quick reply. I appreciate getting clarity on the situation you went through.

Fed up's avatar

Bummer, I get a lot of stuff from iherb in the US but see they don’t have it. I’m in Canada too and found a mother load at a veterinary supply store online, very reasonable too. Looks like Dr. Yoho already mentioned that. Kudos to you for leaving Canada and the dictatorship.

Mary L.'s avatar

Try the Pure Living Store. com

Robert Yoho, MD's avatar

DMSO is in my pipeline. There are lots of references; do you have one you like best?

Fed up's avatar

Sorry about not replying sooner, Dr. Yoho - just saw this now and did not get an email alert. There is a website from a lady in Canada, Jini Patel-Thompson, that has a lot of great information, specifically on IBD, but uses DMSO a lot. She had Crohn’s and healed herself. Her father and brother(s)? are physicians but she has a healthy distrust of the mecical system and is also awake. Some of her stuff is being censored. Her site is listentoyourgut.com. I learned to say no to colonoscopies from her info, some of which my GI doc confirmed. Smart lady.

ann k's avatar

I so agree. If a 3 letter agency says its bad then go do it or buy it. 😅

Crixcyon's avatar

Excellent. Even pure baking soda is a health food. Screw big pharma, the butchers of humanity.

Jane A's avatar

Bob Red Mill baking soda has no aluminum in it.. I take it daily, as well!

Mary's avatar

Arm and Hammer Baking Soda has no aluminum either. Dr. Sircus writes in his book on baking soda, that Arm & Hammer is great......Do not immediately see the comparision with Bobs Rd Mill at the moment.

Gbro's avatar

Dr Yoho, when you add boron to the liter of water, do you drink the entire liter over the course of the day?

Robert Yoho, MD's avatar

yes at 1/4 teaspoon in the liter or just sprinkle on your food. It's less toxic than salt

erin's avatar

I have tested boron via liquid by Trace Minerals (one dropper per day). So far I have been on it twice, then fell of the wagon, and every time, my body aches returned. I am convinced that this stuff works. Amazing how many helpful things there are... if you really look. :-)

Fed up's avatar

I forgot to mention that castor oil has some amazing, healing benefits and is still easy to find. You just need a (reusable) wool flannel cloth to apply. Lots of good info online.

Agent 1-4-9's avatar

I'd check that dosage out, 113 mg sounds extremely high. I've been supplementing boron for years at a dose of around 6mg. a day. You're talking almost twenty times that. We mix a teaspoon of borax into a quart of water and drink two teaspoons a day, which works out to approximately 6mg.

Agent 1-4-9's avatar

I'll add that it has no taste, we add it to our morning coffee. Also, my wife and I are 60, without a hint of arthritis. One box of 20 mule team borax costs around $5 and will last you a lifetime.

Agent 1-4-9's avatar

I make borax water by putting one teaspoon in a quart of water, let it dissolve, then use two teaspoons of that water in my morning coffee.

ann k's avatar

Im going to try in coffee thanks for suggestion. How much?

Michelle Herman's avatar

this is really fascinating! thanks much!

Robert Yoho, MD's avatar

the caveat was to try it for 5 days at a time. I am only quoting this source.

Agent 1-4-9's avatar

It just sounded high, but look how low the RDAs of various vitamins are. I try to tell people they need way more and they think I'm a nut. And we've been fear mongered about vitamins and supplements. After listening to the podcast and reading some comments here I think I'll try a higher dose.

Robert Yoho, MD's avatar

About as toxic as salt

Frank's avatar

Thank you, Doctor. From what I hear, Borax/Boron is also supposed to help treat type 1 diabetes? Is that correct?

Agent 1-4-9's avatar

I'll let you know my results. I'm wondering if the higher dose will do anything noticable since I've been supplementing for so long.

Michael Edwards's avatar

Don, I take at least the 113 mg to 140 a day and my wife about 75 to 100mg a day for the last year with no toxicity issues to date! We feel fantastic!!! It is the only supplement I have ever taken were I felt it actually make a difference in my life!!!

Agent 1-4-9's avatar

Really? I knew it had numerous benefits and started taking it probably a decade ago. I think it raised my testosterone. But I also had heard toxicity reports. Good info is hard to find so I kept it on the the low side. It's a shame this info isn't readily available. I might consider a higher dose, thanks!

Michael Edwards's avatar

It boosted my testosterone TREMENDOUSLY!!! I had just started back exercising lightly and after taking it for a couple weeks my muscles got a lot firmer, more and better pumps and major growth! It also made my 57 year old libido jump a lot higher too!!! It is a miracle mineral my friend!!! My wife at 56 years old had little to no interest in sex anymore because of menopause even though she had been extremely interested only a few years prior!!! Holy Cow, when she started taking the Borax (Boron), about 1/4 teaspoon a day as she weighed about 185 when she started, she is a BBW woman, her libido went literally through the roof!!! She was actually following me around the house asking me to have sex with her and we were having sex 2 to 3 times a day for about 2 months!!! I had to even tell her a couple of times, “no more! I am exhausted and worn it!!!” It even gave her here lubrication back in her vagina that had severely gone away!!!

I try to tell everyone about it and most just say, “but it’s laundry detergent it will make you sick!!! I send them the exact info that is contained in this Substack and tell them about my and my wife’s experiences and most still just refuse to believe me!!! My stupid ass brother-in-law, wife’s brother, even put a teaspoon full in his mouth trying to eat it, after I told him how to dissolve a 1/4 teaspoon in water and drink throughout the day, called us up and said that stuff taste like shit and don’t work!!! I seriously don’t understand what is wrong with people nowadays!!!

I know it is a valid product that works because Germany and Australia have banned its usage in any form and you can’ buy it in England hardly, I am told!!! That tells me right there how good it must be as if it was bad for you like the hackcines, Remdesvir and the Covid anti-viral pills from Pfizer, they would be commercials on tv telling you to take it!!!

Robert Yoho, MD's avatar

thanks for the writeup!

Michelle Herman's avatar

fascinating! .... based on your wife's experience, I will be trying this for sure! .... now, where do I find a willing partner?? :)

Michael Edwards's avatar

You on your own with that one my friend!!!

Unagnu's avatar

And Borax water is great for interfering w nanotechnology cdb just ask the Morgellon victims

Unagnu's avatar

Along w sodium citrate which also happens to be a non toxic blood thinner...

ann k's avatar

Id ask how you know it raised your testosterone but im a little afraid. 😂

Adding to my prior comment

Hydration equals salt plus water - low salt or dehydration or hyponatremia are the same condition. Hyponatremia is life threatening, an emergency.

The adrenals respond to this emergency with all their adrenocortical hormones not just aldosterone.

Chronic dehydration results in chronic adrenocortical response. This changes the kidneys state of ease (releasing sodium) to dis-ease (retaining sodium). And results in adrenal fatigue or hyperplasia.

Chronic raised cortisol leads to blood sugar problems and diabetes.

Chronic adrenaline leads to anxiety for not good reason and panic attacks.

All the sex hormones are depressed leading to infertility.

The body thrives in a fully hydrated state. Think about a baby versus the elderly - the marked change is hydration. The body is self healing in a hydrated state. This is why hospitals use the ubiquitous saline drip. Rehydration is their biggest and best tool.

When salt is taken off the table all salt stores are raided in the body.

This reduces joint fluid/cushion as water follows salt.

This reduces muscle bulk.

This reduces bone density.

The eyes lose flexibility.

Hip and knee replacements have become common.

Dementia has become common. A chronically dehydrated brain loses function.

A headache is the first sign of dehydration, it’s not an indicator for Panadol.

Big pHARMa profits from low salt directives.

5-LOXIN is a refined concentrate of the active ingredient of what came to be called boswellia after it was largely forgotten to have come from frankincense. It has held my arthritis in remission since I started taking it.

Using google scholar:

with the search terms "borax Arthritis" one gets About 4,040 results. That's too many to wade through. To reduce the number of hits for peer review publications it is best to use one of most commonly used chemical names, so I chose sodium tetraborate.

FYI: Scientist, chemist and medical authors and journals really like the use of chemical names.

Search terms "Sodium tetraborate Arthritis" revealed about 1,750 results.

I picked the third one listed because 'double blind' was used in the title. The citation and abstract (short) are below.

Travers, R. L., Rennie, G. C., & Newnham, R. E. (1990). Boron and arthritis: the results of a double-blind pilot study. Journal of Nutritional Medicine, 1(2), 127-132.

A copy of the abstract is below.

This report describes the conduct and results of a double-blind trial comparing oral intake of 6 mg of boron per day to placebo in the treatment of arthritis. The results indicate that boron may well be beneficial. Of the 10 patients on boron, five improved and five did not, but only one of the 10 patients on the placebo improved. This was essentially a pilot trial which showed that a small quantity of boron would greatly relieve severe osteo-arthritis. Of those starting the trial, 50% using boron improved as compared with 10% on placebo; or if we consider those who completed the trial, 71% improved while using boron. There were no side-effects and these were sought. The indication is that boron (as sodium tetraborate decahydrate) are safe and beneficial in the treatment of osteo-arthritis and that further research is required.

This study was cited by 121 other articles.

Always do your own research to make sure what your reading is not BS.

Dr. Robert is batting 100% in everything he writes.

Thanks Dr. Robert keep up the good work.

Robert Yoho, MD's avatar

And that's a low dose of boron

Vivian's avatar

Thanks Dr. Yoho! This is fascinating stuff. Thank you for all the links as well. Hubby just had arthroscopy and acromioplasty on his shoulder. Surgeon said he had grade 2-3 out of 4 arthritis and he also has gout. This boron/borax sounds great and how amazing that you have had positive results so quickly! We will be giving it a try.

Kat Bro's avatar

I just recommended to a friend who complained about his trigger finger last week. He read the article then googled borax and told me it seems pretty risky. Okay 🤣

EverybodyDuck's avatar

I do just a pinch of Borax (Prescribed for Life USP NF) about 3-4 times per week in about 24 oz of water. I have an old hand injury that get’s inflamed and painful. The borax makes a big difference. I went away from 20 Mule brand as it doesn’t dissolve as easily in water vs. the USP NF.

Just be cautious. If I had a $1.00 for every diabetes, bowel movement, and Tinnitus ad I've seen I'd have a nice nest egg, instead of worrying about If I can ever afford new Hearing Aids. I had to take them out for the 2 MRIs. #1 was with their foam earplugs, I heard every sound the machine made, and I'm nearly deaf without my Aids, #2 I used the crappy music muffs but still heard the machine over the music and muffs. I've tried Turmeric for a year in the right amount for OA, never worked nor did the 2 years of Glucosamine Chondroitin formula.

DrTamara's avatar

Hello Gail, I believe that tinnitus has multiple possible etiologies. Clinical, I’ve often seen a deficiency in zinc and/ or B12. Home zinc testing is fairly easy to do. Acquire some good quality liquid zinc and take a swig and hold it for about five seconds. Over a few seconds you should start to taste a very ugly taste if you have enough zinc. If you are deficient this taste will not appear and / or appear very lightly.

You may also want to research The use of vitamin K 2–7 to help decalcify any areas that have too much calcium. Wishing you well.

Yes and do not forget lions mane mushroom, my husband had his high tones in no time back, while he was taking it for a whiplash....Just a thought.

DrTamara's avatar

Excellent idea! I use Lions mane in MS and anti-cancer , but I love your comment ! Thank you for sharing !

Gosh , have you tried the Cucurmin with biopiperine & Bromelin. Some take 1, some take 2, I am better with 2 in the morning & 2 in the evening.

ABIGAIL REPORTS's avatar

Bromelin, didn't like my GI tract. Ashwagandha didn't either. Even my calcium has to be Coral Cal Citrate. Which is getting harder to find.

Sounds like you’ve a delicate system there to manage, Gail. Humm, you have me wondering….I do not take Calcium but do take a D3 that also has K2. My bone density remains happy at age75. Glad of that!

Robert Yoho, MD's avatar

Take d3 once a week. I use 50,000 IU capsules three of them. See my D post

And it's just the spine. I fell yesterday, other than some scrapes and bruises, the rest of the body except the spine pain is ok. Only broken bones are small toes. 5,000 UI D3 and K2-7. We are the same age. Popped the first disc in my 30s pushing a heavy door open.

Nama Paula's avatar

Omgosh! I am quite sorry to hear of this fall,Gail! It sounds like a big one to me. Please get well asap! Toes count!! I’ve only broken 1 baby toe in my teens

->had to wear saddle shoes that were so Ugly for awhile!

ABIGAIL REPORTS's avatar

Usually, I get the 2 small toes. on both feet not at the same time. I hit furniture legs. Didn't start that till my 40's.

Saddle shoes were in style for us. As well as Mary Janes. Never liked them. I wear house shoes until the swelling goes down. I'm hard to fit for shoes to begin with, at a size 5 medium. For these China-made ones, I need a 5.5 Wide. And there is no quality, despite the fact I buy Clarks clogs. Which are not cheap. Very hard to find.
