Aspirin originally came from the White Willow tree bark before it was synthetically produced. You can buy White Willow bark capsules at health food stores. The beauty of it is that it has all the parts of the bark which help buffer the acetylsalicylic acid and the damage it causes over time to arteries with leakage and stomach ulcers.
Changed to using a stainless steel French press after reading the Crouse info via a Yoho Substack a couple of years ago. I'm tired of cleaning it, and it just dawned on me that the screens/filters may not be SS, anyway. The link to aluminum-free coffee makers leads to a whole lotta choices on Amazon (they have the WORST search features, why even use filters when searching??!) Does anyone have the name of an actual brand they use? I read Crouse's stuff on the Bunn Speed Brew...but there are so many styles of Speed Brew....
