It's frustrating. When I worked in Pharma studies in the 90's (Prozac era), I learned that a pharmaceutical company would create drug studies for drugs they had no intention of selling just to give business to their study doctors to keep them occupied so they wouldn't work for another company. They were all bought, those study designers/runners.
I still have pads of prozac paper pads...
