I'm soon to see my MD for a routine visit under Medicare, and I would like to talk to him about getting my hormones tested. I realize from your writings that I may need to interpret the results and act apart from his recommendations--that he is likely to say they are fine and discourage me. What testing should I request? (I've seen kits on-line that will test for testosterone, estradiol, cortisol, and DHEA. Is that a good start?)
I want to thank you. If it wasn’t for your Substack article on testosterone I would have continuously suffer. I also purchased your book.
I was going through pre-menopause and my primary doc said my hormones were fine. But I knew something was off. I went to a hormone specialist and had a testosterone pellet inserted in my upper hip. Within weeks I felt better.
My question is do you think inserting the pellet in the fatty area around the belly button better or the upper hip.
