I was guilty of trusting the establishment for over 30 years. Until?7 years ago, I was on many prescriptions for depression and autoimmune issues.

After taking Effexor when it was new& getting electric shocks all day, I stopped volunteering for new medications. I had had suicidal thoughts on Chantix & still hadn’t learned my lesson. Years later with an integrative medicine doctor, I’m amazed at what supplements and vitamins based on blood work and a probiotic & cms( or csm?) resin powder for mold and cholesterol are doing me far better than 20 plus years blaming myself for not feeling well . About 15 years ago I got a psychiatrist to give me vit d .that was a big deal. When I moved to Florida my seasonal affective disorder has disapated . My psoriasis is better ( sun & non gmo food) without any of the numerous scrips I tried. I got sober in rehab at 30. Later I was on neurontin ( gabapentin ) & had reached dosage limit for my size. Dr recommended an addictive substance, can’t remember what. . I fired him and slowly went off the neurontin. My balance improved and my hands stopped shaking. (Turmeric works better for psoriatic arthritis than anyway.)

I had light therapy treatment for psoriasis 2 years ago. The treatment hurt too much. When I left & asked advice- dermatologist said to get 20 minutes of sun without sunscreen every day, after I’d spent a lot on his light therapy.

I bet half the American housewife on antidepressants really need thyroid medication. The tests are not accurate, not the standard ones.

Sorry for rambling.

It’s outrageous, this mess

& more lives lost in tragedy.

I’m absolutely sure our youth are over medicated , too many people my age seem to be (56) & think it’s normal.

Mainstream media has pharma commercials constantly . The lobbyist will never let that stop. Even though it is harmful for youth to hear repeatedly, a medication for any problem!

Pharma makes too much money on SSRI for any studies proving the dangers to be taken seriously .

They manipulate studies to show counter to the truth

Legal drugs, illegal drugs, state sponsored drugs... remember, just say no.

Might we consider getting proper sleep, routinely exercise, get outdoors, intake sufficient h2o, supplement biological essentials: amino/fatty acids, and vitamins/minerals.

Remember “the science” only supports drugs, pharmaceutical intervention, and state sponsored blue pills.

The education system moving analytical thinking out of the left brain to the right brain is a root cause of things such as ADD thus giving the machine a reason for bad fixes such as psychotropic substances.

I am betting that the uvalde shooter was medicating too, whether legally or not. I have not yet seen it reported that he was or was not. I learned about this very real problem with my adult son who has been on prescription antidepressants for years. His psychiatrist added prozac to his cocktail. He became suicidal and having homicidal thoughts. He became so alrmed that he called his doctor after hours. She called me to go to him as she was “comcerned”. The following day she admitted him to the hospital. After 24 hours of being subjected to other patients who were addicted to illegal drugs oe alcoholic, he was begging me to get him out of there. I called the psychiatrist who referred me to the staff psychiatrist as he was not under her care while in hospital. The staff Doc would not release him due to the homicidal thoughts. I was perplexed, so had a discussion with my son and a nurse. Together we figured out the prozac connection and I looked up the side effects. I was blown away that neither Doc ever suggested taken him off the prozac. The nurse told my son he “needed to make that request”. He did and after 24 hours the thoughts stopped and he was released. I was furious at these two Docs. I am totally against all psychiatry — I firmly believe it is dangerous.
