I went through the total shoulder arthroplasty about 5 years ago. When I went for the second replacement, other problems had to be addressed first, and then there was the scamdemic, so the other shoulder remains bone-on-bone. I have less pain from the arthritic shoulder than from the replaced one, but neither presents serious concerns. I'm about 4 years older than you. I hope you enjoy your "retirement."

Thanks for the perspective. This is a successful surgery in the right hands but I guess I’ll find out for myself.
A doctor at Mayo in Arizona did the surgery. That's all he does. You should do well as long as you work hard in the physical therapy afterward.
I'm at two weeks and supposed to be inactive now, but I'll heed your great advice, thanks.
