Yikes, this is so chilling! I have one root canal tooth and I cannot point to exactly when it happened, but I do know that some time after that I developed multiple chemical sensitivities. I'm trying to figure out what to do after getting the tooth out, which unfortunately is a front tooth. The treatment for those teeth was either extraction or a root canal and leaving active infection, vasodilation and a pathway of various bacteria (primarily anaerobes) through the vascular system was an obvious path to systemic illness. To say all root canals are problematic is hyperbolic and unprovable. Root canals are an option to save a tooth, save the function of the dentition which has value. A failed root canal, one which has not had all tissue and nerve removed and been disinfected and filled but remains a source of infection does need to be addressed for the patients health. Health outcomes for each individual need to be assessed individually based on each persons circumstances and best practice. Endodontically treated teeth need to be assessed regularly, generally by radiography to determine any infection noted by radiolucency in the bone and then decisions, in consult with the patient, should be made on how to best proceed-extract, retreat….willly nillly extraction because people read hyperbolic articles that may not reflect their personal circumstances can cause them harm based on function and are an assault on their budget.

You may have a point... my father was an orthodontist and we had many dentist friends... I discussed this topic with several and they all disagree.
Perhaps the billions of MINOR afflictions can be tied to root canals or amalgams... blamed on other things... Big Pharma must revel in it if so...
