Its street name is Special K. The abusers I have spoken to say it is a dull, sleepy high, although they sometimes become violent. Until recently, I was a ketamine virgin.
You can obtain ketamine from betterucare.com. I recently lost my partner of almost 20 years and I was a crying mess every day, especially since I also experienced a lot of trauma in the four different hospitals I stayed at for the entire winter, day and night. I talked with a therapist about my PTSD and the first prescribed dose was supposed to be small, but for me it was too much- since death has been on my mind constantly and ketamine is like a mini-death. I am now doing an occasional micro-dose and feel that is helping me better. Or it could be my gardening and/or Pure Barre classes. Or time. Who knows.
Thank you for sharing. I have bipolar depression and want to get off the meds I’ve taken for 30 years. Also lost my husband 2 years ago and still can be weepy.😮💨
My sincerest condolences. I lost my partner of almost 20 years back in September, and I've been lost without him. I find working in my flower/ vegetable garden to be very therapeutic. All the best to you.
I have also found watching/reading about NDEs (near death experiencers), Edgar Cayce, Dolores Cannon, and attending psychic fairs to be helpful. Out of 20 or so psychics, I have found 2-3 to be very good, and one was almost spot-on, but he gave descriptions and words from my late father who passed 10 years ago. Still no word on my girl, but she has only been gone for 3 months exactly (she passed on 3/5). I appreciate your kind words, I have a feeling our gardens and vegetables will flourish this year.
When I was involved in religion, I was fearful of death. Since leaving that mind trap, I have a sense of serenity and no fear. I firmly believe we are all of one consciousness and there are people who, for whatever reason, can connect more directly. Even though my partner is not here, I do feel his presence in ways I cannot describe. I do not pretend to know what happens after death, but I've had so many weird experiences, that there has to be a lingering presence. Maybe we imagine it... Whatever the case, over time, it WILL get better! Just the other day, I was highly emotional, even though I've been coping well. I talk to Mike as though he's in the garden with me. Other than my mom's death when I was 33, this has been the most difficult. Even though I don't know you, I am feeling the same emotions. I know your garden will flourish! Take care.. Again, so very sorry for your loss.
I don't like injecting anything into my body, even if subcutaneously. I once purchased Kambo sticks but never poked them onto my body, lol. The site I referenced uses ketamine in little blocks to be placed and dissolved in the mouth.
At age 62 I went through the six "standard" ketamine sessions, the last three at 0.8 mg/kg (about 56mg). I can attest to the distortions of reality (one of the main reasons I wanted to try it). I had no prior experience with any mind-altering substances in my past, but saw it as a more controlled way over taking psilocybin (i.e., mushrooms) to help deal with depression, free floating anxiety and panic disorder. My clinician (CRNA) was focused more on the neural pathway changes (e.g., default mode network). (Alas) The experience was not as profound or long lasting as some accounts I've heard, but I did get a sense of reality being much more pliable than it typically is in my tightly over-managed egocentric existence. My anxiety levels were lower in the days following and even some longstanding panic behavior was noticeably decreased as my perception of what "is" was changed, albeit temporarily.
I get that people come off antidepressants after using ket but can it help people who are struggling with antidepressant withdrawal symptoms, people who struggle to get off antidepressants? This seems unclear.
A clinical psychologist I follow, Dr. Doug Lisle, believes that depression is a natural result of unsolved problems in a person's life. The solution is to solve the problem.
Am interested in the possibility of helping with spinal cord injuries....
Thank you Robert for this compelling information. This could be life-changing for my 18-year-old daughter who has debilitating PTSD. I’m having difficulty finding a physician who will prescribe sublingual or lozenge-form ketamine. Do you have any suggestions on how to locate a provider near Houston, Texas? Thanks again.
The neurogenerative aspect is absolutely mind blowing! I am hoping that people are able to reverse neurodegenerative diseases like dementia, alzheimers, MS, etc.
Ketamine is used for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, which I unfortunately suffer from. It's used for pain relief and contractures. I've seen pictures of people whose feet are turned almost backward, and the contracture releases with ketamine (infusions). I asked for ketamine due to having finger contractures, but of course, it's offered at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, in Philly, and nowhere else in Pennsylvania. I'm wondering whether oral ketamine would help, but trying to get doctors to do anything but kill you, is an exercise in futility.
From the article: "Ketamine promotion may be another psy-op just like marajuana and the psychedelics." —Kat Lewis, MD
I can't speak for the benefits or concerns of Ketamine. I haven't used it yet but I cured my lung cancer and a friend's serious skin cancer using RSO - high THC cannabis oil more than 12 years ago. It hasn't returned. For either of us.
Full disclosure: Two other people I tried to help succumbed to their cancers. They only learned of the treatment after they were stage 4 and the protocols were too much for their caregivers to handle. They passed away. Another fellow amazed his doctors with a full remission after being told he had a year to live. So what did he do? He celebrated by moving onto a boat in the Caribbean where he drank himself to death. (Cirrhosis of the liver)
So much for the belief that "marijuana", (CANNABIS!) is a medical PSY-OP. When used responsibly and methodically it is a cure for some types of cancer in addition to its other benefits.
Dr. Lewis needs to expand his sources of information.
When I used to get vaccine injuries I took one dose of lsd and it fixed the symptoms until next time I was vaccinated. Cannabis promotes neurogenesis as well and there are many videos on the net of people with severe Parkinson’s taking cannabis which stops the shakes. If you eat cannabis instead of smoking it and start on a very low dose that you increase each week, you don’t get high like you do with smoking it. The low and slow increase approach gets your body used to the effects. Usually eating cannabis for recreational purposes makes you higher than smoking it. I’ve had great effects from lorazepam to suppress my cns to lower allergy responses too. I had to take it whenever I went to a hot country for a holiday and now take it to stop the anaphylaxis from the bone cement amongst my nerves in my spinal column. I’ve now found a dose which means I don’t have to inject myself with Adrenalin everyday like I used to. I don’t have to use Adrenalin at all now. I’ve never tried ketamine myself
I found this posting very interesting and read every word of it. However, I was left unclear if ketamine can be a help, right now and legally, to certain people's health conditions.
This was my first encounter of the BPD Borderline Personality Disorder term.
I have always thought "personality disorder" was a confusing category name, as it could include physical cause of behavioral abnormalities.
Psychopathy is considered a "personality disorder". Psychotic episode or psychosis is a condition, as I understand it, an episode of behavior that indicates a loss of contact with reality. I do not know the name of a psychiatric diagnosis that indicates a behavior pattern in an individual characterized by psychosis.
The prospect of a psychotrophic drug that could be a true help to patients with psychiatric conditions is very hopeful indeed.
I have a family member who suffers from severe depression. The ketamine infusions have been a life saver, literally. Unfortunately, the benefits don't last more than a few weeks, sometimes longer and it's quite expensive. The insurance would pay for the nasal spray, but it didn't work for this person. We're thankful for the infusions.
Could we apply it with DMSO, where we can put it under tongue, and add some more (diluted of course, oral topically to Dr. Vollmer ca. 50% max, a bit yak of course, swallow if a part is resorbed so DMSO less than 30%, but saliva will also dilute)? Or DIY some supplement or rectal dripping infusion?
For me, in DE, therapists willing to do off-label use and defend it in front of insurance are so rare. And since insurance wants like 900€ per months, we are quite bound to get meds by it, as free means get less. (You see the principle of DE “healthcare”, where you have to get some appointment with physician 1/4 yr in advance, as “you might need it” then.)
So Ketamine will not be a hippocraatic drug to me, as it is not available (and expensive).
Interventions that want to be called hippocratic or democratic in society (politics but also private, all talk or advise or planning or discussion that is not a monologue to myself) have to fulfill all 8 conditions of that, so fulfill:
transparent, early, multi-modal (multi-drug multi-target), (constant) dose-finding (including allergy test!), and the usual 4: safe, effective, cheap, available.
Yet I can not discern dosing ranges in between zytotoxic effects and neuronal boosting ones yet.
Time will show.
So far for neuronal damage, I ate walnut leafs (10^-6 g/g progesterone), do DMSO and MSM cures, search for the smallest yet still benevolent hyaluronan acid molecule or derivative, dive into emzyme therapy (especially nattokinase and lumbrokinase). Add benevolent, resorbably Magnesium forms like simple magnesium chloride or baking magnesium (diy by adding Magnesium Hydroxide bit heaped tsp to a L nicely sparkling water and turn over bottle, start slowly, some minutes, after ca 10mins I shake it. See DrSircus Magnesium Super Water.)
And rotate adaptogenic (immune modulating) herbs.
For depression, perhaps a step to the side of all axis of life help.
I also took some MethyIene BIue, started slowly and worked dosing up, and added buffered (by baking kalium and sodium) very oure vitamin C like 1-4g, and after stirring in the MB 0.6g NAC (Nac max every 2 hrs the 0.6g to Dr.Schilling DE). If one wants to enhance to detoxing properties and effects of that, I also added sodium Gluconate (USP), but would try to get that from Magnesium and Potassium now. I also drink dandelium full plant and stinging nettle tea. If histamine intolerance shows on stinging nettle, replace with yarrow and horsetail as donators of bio-available SiO2, that glasses after 3 hrs of cel extraction, so buy only products that are not sitting in watery extracted state for more than an hour, excluding most industrial products, I assume, to be contributing to this axis of energy of life, as I perceive nano-colloidal (benevolent so natural) SiO2 now. Diatomaceous earth very fine ground seems to have some precipitation that does the job, but I can not proof it. Feeding plants with it that donate that to us if eaten or cooked from dry or to a degree frozen state then consumed in 3 hrs may do the job. But most, even organic, soils are depleted from trace minerals and silicade.
Progesterone:
Demands a chain (especially for males).
So I also add yams to balance hormones, and for that also take borax (demanding iodine but to Boist: both KI and I2 that Lugol’s donates.
Lugols: , only tolerable if supply of Magnesium, Zinc, Selenium and a bit later Vitamin C (compensating Lugol’s oxidative stress just on thyroid gland), and on meals the B cocktail is OK, so I take these also, called co-factors. As 1/2 of population is deprived of some or most co-factors, 1/2 of us suffer from thyroid problems when taking therapeutic doses of Lugol’s (and even more so for iodine preparations without elemental iodine so I2) without the co-factors.
I have a suspicion about neurological and psychological symptoms, and next to trauma real or to immune system (all altering biome, so guts cure and biome re-completion from many natural biomes is key), irritated and imbalanced immune system parts have to be soothed and balanced.
As many states also make mast cells nervous, so MCAS-like symptoms (mast cell activation syndrome or disease), we can soften herx and shorten flares by symptomatic MCAS therapy so H1 and IL6 blockers. If you use H2 blockers also, don’t forget to supplement Betaine HCl+ on every meal.
Here is the paper justifying the dive into mast cells:

- minerals from eg dead sea or celtic salt. One can even cook with it. I add dead sea salt to my daily CDS thinning, where some gets reverted back to the salt form, making it more tolerable and longer lasting.
Psychdelics:
There is (some?j trial(s) done using psylocibine, just search for it with symptoms (all episodic ones), eg depression psylocibine trial or paper.
But I would consume mental state altering things in a pre-defined dosing curve over days or weeks, have no experience there… so very low constantly and on symptoms from the drug be not alone but in an embedded social / setting (best “traditional” so mentally safely anchored) situation (the others not consuming of course:). As all cultures are deprived of natural healing traditions, such a setting is not trained from youth, and we often have no rituals. But I think they are instantly invented in every family, we just have to find what situations took that role.

Use a one-cc syringe and a 27-gauge needle to microdose. Start with .05 cc subcutaneously. That's what I would do. I'll look at the website.
I don't like injecting anything into my body, even if subcutaneously. I once purchased Kambo sticks but never poked them onto my body, lol. The site I referenced uses ketamine in little blocks to be placed and dissolved in the mouth.

Very low dose sublingually regenerates the nervous system both central and peripheral.
So doc, how are you yourself using it? And what's your plan?
Seems reasonable to try.
I have seen someone describe a bad trip combining ketamine with mushrooms.
yes but I am using only 1/20th of a cc now, which is 2.5 mg. I hate the sensation and the hangover. But I'm a sensitive guy, ha.
Aha... What is the sensation like?
Are you using it topically or orally?
I will say my first big breakthrough with Dupetren's/trigger finger came from using Chlorine Dioxide. Overnight relief with the first dose!

Covering up depression with psych drugs is bad for your ultimate adjustment. I offer no solutions to this dilemma.

Any large US city has people who will prescribe this. See the top pinned comment for one that may do it entirely virtually. Best
Thank you for sharing this! Dr. Sigoloff had a great interview with two psychiatrist that used a very similar protocol to successfully treat their patients with supposedly incurable conditions. Definitely a must watch! https://rumble.com/v4ym9wb-131.-sublingual-ketamine-with-dr.-rachel-wilkenson.html

DMSO for contractures..... A Midwestern Doctor has lots of info on this...
Thank you, Mary. I've been using DMSO for years, for pain, but unfortunately, it's done nothing for the contractures...
Yes, oral ketamine helps complex regional pain synd
Thanks, Dr. Yoho. By the way, Butchered By Healthcare was an AWESOME read!!

We all know the opinions of the MJ lovers.
Kat has a point however
My post wasn't opinion. It was fact. I thought my experience might contribute to the conversation.
(Can you please define 'MJ lover' for me? I thought we were discussing medicines that work, not movie reviews for "Reefer Madness".
I didn't mean to offend; I like to think of this as an academic forum, but perhaps I overestimated myself.
Those of us who have watched the debate for decades know that a particular segment listens to no opposition to MJ.
I've seen many lectures by MDs extolling the virtues, and most have a certain telling slur in their voice and maybe thinking.
That said, I am using CBD oil now, and it is a pretty good soporific. It has some THC. Patients with PD need sleep just like anyone else.

Notes: progesterone should not be used for men. See Hormone Secrets.
Use nascent iodine, not Lugols. The latter is not palatable.
DMSO with ketamine will alter the half-life. This may have deleterious effects on efficacy.
Get someone to prescribe it. Many use it sublingually, but I think it is best subcutaneously. IV is a scam. Read the post again for details.
