I spent an hour in my biological dentist's soft-shelled hyperbaric chamber and it made me feel great. Treatment programs for Parkinson's are 20 to 40 sessions, which are time-consuming and expensive.
I had a wonderful Dr. in Indiana who had a soft chamber. We had both read 'The Oxygen Revolution' written by the head of the Hyperbaric Assoc. He told the story of a stroke victim who was wheeled into a chamber for a diabetic wound...and he walked out! The brain cells that were assumed to be dead were described as merely 'idling'. When HBOT was adminstered, they revived. His purpose in writing the book was to try to get more studies and insurance coverage for a wider range of problems.
I could send stroke vicitms to my doctor for $50. The sooner the treatment, the better the outcomes.
In a further experiment, I had brought him my magnesium chloride gel to use. He came up with an extremely effective protocol which he demonstrated on several old farmers with a lifetime of aches and pains. He applied the magnesium gel everywhere, then he dabbed a small amount of DMSO on old injury areas, painful muscle attachments, etc. Then he placed them in the chamber under full pressure. In a single session, a lifetime of aches and pains were gone. Of course, I got to try it as well...absolutely amazing. It delivered all 3 components to the bone.
I also used it for CRVO (ocular stroke). I could read 3 lines better. The effects are not long-lasting, however. Just a few days. Eye specialists at Bascom Palmer in Florida have also confirmed similar results.
Thanks for bringing more attention to this wonderful therapy!
Dr. Son, I encourage your engagement via podcast with Dr. Yoho. The word needs to be shared. My mother born 1953 was a dentist in communist Poland and qualified again in Australia in the 1980s. The ceramic technology was not available and my perception of bacterial toxicity/ parasites contributing to poor health and death of my parents stems from the mercury fillings and crowns administered during the Eastern Block era. In my father’s case his molar crown was manufactured and installed by my Jewish grandfather who learnt the art of denture making in the night from Polish surgeons. The crown was in situ for over thirty years. If the public understands that oral health is linked to physical symptoms in the body they may seek modern options to remove toxic implants and regain health. Do share your expert knowledge! I support you.
First and foremost, normobaric oxygen does not do what oxygen under pressure does. Second, topical oxygen therapy has never been shown to be efficacious for wounds. Third, I notice you have a photo of a chamber that as no ASME PVHO or U-stamp paperwork posted publicly.
Any clinic operator who is using a chamber that is not ASME/PVHO certified does so at theri own peril.
An excellent overview of HBOT’s practical and scientific dimensions.
From a mechanistic standpoint, hyperbaric oxygen therapy can be understood through the fundamental logic of oxygen-based healing: temporary elevation of oxygen tension induces reactive oxygen species (ROS), which act as physiological messengers to identify and remove dysfunctional cells. The subsequent repair is not about controlling or “taming” ROS — the body’s intrinsic antioxidant and homeostatic systems naturally reestablish balance once the signal is delivered.
This interpretation aligns with a broader oxidative framework that connects sunlight exposure, oxygen therapy, and chlorine dioxide as distinct yet convergent expressions of one biological principle — controlled oxidative signaling leading to renewal.
A detailed conceptual description of this model can be found here:
Why a dentist only recommended? Many years ago I tried HBO for chronic fatigue at a place in Rancho Cucamongo, CA. They are since retired, but they had multiple hard chambers lined up, a resident doctor, cotton scrubs you had to wear and a set-up to watch movies galore, if you wanted to watch while in the chamber. They had a lotta business. If I chose to have HBO again, I would use an alternative health clinic that I know that has a hard chamber.
Dr Yoho, I can remember a story I read in 2020 - during Covid and before the vaccines - where the employees in a meatpacking plant somewhere in Texas pretty much all got Covid. Several ended up in the local hospital and became comatose, heading for death. The hospital had a couple HBOT chambers and the head of that department agreed to put these patients in the chambers every day for 1.5 hours at 2 atm. The article stated that every patient became awake and alert within 15 minutes of starting the session, fell back toward but not to their previous state over the next 24 hours and so on, stair stepping upward to almost-full healing within no more than 7 days, and were discharged.
I also read an article where a Chinese hospital experimented with HBOT on a couple of comatose patients and found they got well very quickly. When the other Covid patients found out about the experiment, they demanded also to be treated, and all left the hospital within a few days, pretty much fully healed.
When I used HBOT around 2018 (60 daily sessions, full oxygen in a hood, 90 minutes at 2 atm), I felt somewhat better, but what really got me to perk up my ears was when the head of the clinic told me that an Australian doctor who was doing very large amounts of research had said the following: If a person does 2 months on and 1 month off for 2 years, their vascular system got so rebuilt and expanded that their entire spine was entirely regenerated.
At 74 I can tell that my peripheral or small-vessel circulation is nowhere near as good as it was in my 20s. I theorize that a lot of aging is caused simply by the loss of small vessel circulation throughout the body and slow loss of zeta potential as the kidneys also lose circulatory capacity. I've been searching ever since 2018 for ways to substantially expand small-vessel circulatory capacity for anti-aging and body-wide recovery of function. I'd be interested in your take on the hypothesis and any ideas for techniques that can do it. Besides HBOT (uncomfortable and expensive), I know of External Electronic Counter-Pulsation (hard to find for anti-aging use) and Ka'atsu blood flow machines during exercise (even walking), but other ideas would be welcome. Literally everyone older than 55 would benefit from restoring body-wide small-vessel blood flow as completely as long-term use of HBOT can apparently create.
When you see people with oxygen tanks, what is the purpose? Is it to clear the lungs? And I recall the faddish oxygen bars. Were those just tanks of medical grade oxygen? Would they have provided any benefits or were they just nonsense? - I presume the latter.
Hyperbarics is way out of my wheelhouse, so I’m just spitballin’ here… As a certified diver (decades ago), I learned about “nitrogen narcosis” and its treatment. At the time, there was only one hyperbaric chamber for divers in my state (at the University of Florida), and flying a diver to it would exacerbate the problem. So we learned that the “cure” was to grab a fresh tank of air and return to the proper depth to linger for a certain amount of time (there are decompression tables for this). Heres what I’m thinking…
Would a simple “chamber” at a certain depth, using regular or enriched air, provide the same benefits as a hyperbaric chamber at sea level? Load a patient in a “diving bell,” lower them to a prescribed depth for a certain period, then bring it back up for the patient to exit. Certainly I cannot be the first to think of this.
I remember those days and used to own a dive shop. The idea is not to get bent.
Attempting to use hyperbaric to regain some cognition which is keeping me from working, being able to do very very much.
Unless I'm just sliding from ADD/LD right into dementia Alzheimer's.
Such a gift out there from Yoho and AMD and so many repurposed drugs and alternatives that actually work multifaced for us with zero to trace side effects other than helping other problems that we have❤️
Was thinking I was gonna get a chamber but after reading the article think I'll stick with treatments at 165 each.
So glad you have brought up this topic, Doctor. I had a few sessions in a soft shell hyperbaric chamber chamber at a local wellness center about 20 years ago. The oxygen tank was placed in the coffin with me! In hindsight, ummm. I did have to bring my cannula back with me for the following sessions. I had no medical issues but my cheeks were rosy and my energy soared after each session. Was actually eying up a chamber for online purchase recently.
On a sidenote, yes, orthodox dentistry has not budged in 50 years. Still the whining drill (surely we could have had ultrasonic or laser by now) and I recently had x-rays which required big plastic squares positioned in my poor little mouth, gagging me. Had to get the back of my throat anesthetized to stop the gag reflex. Establishment Medicine is horrible. I wish you the best in your search and hope you find relief.
I did some Hyperbaric Oxygen sessions, several years ago. I purchased 2 packages (don't remember how many sessions) which overall lasted about 3 months. The cost was steep These chambers were high quality, hard chambers, maybe 2 1/2 time bigger than the one you pictured. and used 100% O2. I was doing it out of a desire to remain in remission from my cancer diagnosis years before. I am claustrophic, but managed the sessions well at that time. Frankly, the thought of doing it again, frightens me very much. I don't think I could do it..... I don't know that that's all about. The thought of fires crossed my mind. The safety requirements were no synthetic fiber clothing and no metal fasteners due to possible sparking.
Yes I know. I read " Cancer as a Metabolic Disease" by Thomas N. Seyfried ( Cliff notes version, "Tripping Over The Truth" by Trais Christofferson. I really appreciate Surviving Health Care, it is very honest. Though I don't interact often, there's usually some feedback. I really like that.
The two red flag for me in this excellent comprehensive article about hyperbaric-chambers-related deaths.
"...a hyperbaric chamber exploded at the Oxford Center in Troy, Michigan. Four people were charged with second-degree murder after investigators found safety protocols were ignored.
"...a 43-year-old physical therapist died in a flash fire inside a hyperbaric chamber ..." x
In the first case, above, tour people were charged with second-degree murder, but I do not get the understanding that administrators and supervisors on duty in the facility incurred any punishment, and that seems questionable to me.
In the second case, there is no mention at all of anyone incurring any penalty or punishment. It makes me wonder if a "flash fire" gives any signals on the machine controls that a fire is imminent. Again human negligence appears possible and I wonder about that.

PEMF machines help small vessel circulation. See my posts. I have a BEMER
Best
Thank you. I didn't know that. I've been thinking about getting a BEMER and now have more reason to do that. :-)
You can get HBOC in Mexico if you need a lot of sessions. It’s very cheap.
